Pregnancy is a wonderful thing, there’s nothing better than bringing a new life into the world. When you’re pregnant, there are many things you have to be aware of and avoid doing.

These are the key things you must not do when pregnant:
Stay Clear Of Caffeine
If you enjoy coffee to get you through the day, then I’ve got some bad news for you! Too much caffeine is medically proven to increase your baby’s chances of having diabetes. If you need your fix of coffee, then you can still have a little bit each day. Just don’t go overboard and perhaps switch to decaf during your pregnancy. If you drink coffee because you’re tired, then you should try water instead. Most people are tired because they don’t get enough water and are actually dehydrated!
Don’t Drink Or Do Drugs!
It goes without saying, you should not drink or do drugs when you’re pregnant. We all know the harmful effects these substances can have on the body, well now they will affect your baby too. It can cause birth defects in your child that can affect them throughout their entire life. If you’re an addict who’s pregnant, then you must look for women’s drug treatment as soon as possible. Drug addiction is a disease and not your fault, but you must fight it for the sake of your unborn baby.
Say Bye To Junk Food
Junk food has never been good for us, but we eat it as a source of comfort every so often. The fact is; junk food tastes delicious, but has very little nutritional value. So when you’re eating it, you’re just filling yourself up and not providing nutrients to you or your baby. Your child needs essential nutrients to grow in your belly and arrive healthy and natural. So when the pregnancy cravings arrive (and they will definitely arrive, believe me) look for healthy snacks instead. You can still find chocolates to eat that are organic and actually have good nutritional value, so don’t worry!
Stay Clear Of Smoking
As a pregnant mother, you should make sure you stay far away from smoking. This means you shouldn’t smoke yourself, or be near anyone that does. If your family members smoke, make sure they do it as far away from you as possible. The smoke can not only harm you but harm the baby inside too. There are cases in which exposure to cigarette smoke has led to premature births and even abortions.
Try And Avoid Extra Stress
Being stressed when pregnant is perfectly normal. After all, you are carrying around another human being inside of you! So some stress is natural, but you must avoid any extra stress. Try not to get worked up by little things in your life that will stress you out. Working is a main source of stress for some, so try and stay calm when you’re at work. It might be better to talk to your bosses and see if you can work part-time during pregnancy. Stress has seen some women give birth prematurely and to babies with a very low birth weight.
