Home Remedies for Constipation

Constipation refers to bowel movements that are infrequent or hard to pass. Constipation is a common cause of painful defecation. Severe constipation includes obstipation (failure to pass stools or gas) and fecal impaction, which can progress to bowel obstruction and become life-threatening.

Here are some home remedies to deal with this problem:

  • In the morning before take anything take water of warm water with 1 teaspoon of honey and half glass of juice of lemon or lime.
  • Drink at least 8 glass of water daily which helps avert constipation by keeping your bowels hydrated.

  • Take hot water, tea or coffee that will cause you to feel like making a bowel movement.
  • Massage of abdominal area is one of the best ways to tone the muscles in your colon area. If you do it every day, this massage will strengthen your colon walls and helps to loose stagnant chime that is causing constipation.
  • Take bael fruits which are regarded as the best natural source of laxative. It can clean and tone up a person’s innards.
  • Liquorices (mulathi) are a natural laxative. So chew it daily it is very beneficial remedy for constipation.
  • You must have to avoid high fat diet like meats, diary products, eggs, rice, rich desserts or sugary sweets.
    Avoid overcooked, canned, preservative or refrigerated food.
  • Must take 20-35 grams dietary fiber each day. Fiber is necessary in your diet to keep things moving along in the bowels. The best sources of fibers are fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
  • You must have to relief your tension it is the best way to loose your bowels.
  • Every day Set aside at a regular time an hour or so for evacuation of bowels. About an hour after waking up is good. You have to sit down for 10 minutes even if you don’t feel a movement. Try to relax your body and release the muscles in your abdomen.
  • Put 3 tablespoons of psyllium husk (sabat isabgol) in to hot milk or water and drink it before going to bed.
  • Daily eat 350 grams graphs. Graphs include the properties of cellulose, sugar and organic make it a natural laxative food which helps you in curing constipation.
